Screen printing

I did my first screen printing yesterday including mixing dyes, hand painting and discharge. I like some of my prints but a lot of them need work to make them more successful.

Dye lab

Today I spent the whole day in the dye lab experimenting with different fabrics, dyes and colours to see what we could get. We worked out that it was faster and easier to work as a team to get the best results and more quickly. I took some photos of my day and my friends working away.

Christmas tags

After being skint even having 2 jobs I thought I might as well put my creative talent to good use to try and bring me in some more penny's. I have designed myself a little range of Christmas gift tags that I am selling on eBay. If they sell well i am planning on doing birthday ones and maybe even some card ranges. Hope you like them

First screen!!

After doing a week of research we have finally started on a new module which will allow my brain to get filled with technical knowledge on print and embellished. I started print first and with my drawings from last project I put then all together to make a koda trace. I am in love with the koda trace pen it is so easy to use and the results are amazing. Learning the whole screen printing process has been amazing I love it already and the anticipation of waiting to see if your first screen has exposed fully was the longest part. With my first screen being complete and my brain a little fuller I am very happy with the success of today. I took a picture of my koda trace and my first screen to show us

Deadline!

With my first deadline now been completed I can now relax a little knowing that I have tried my best and worked hard to show what I can achieve. Learning new drawing techniques and skills todevelop my work has gave me the confidence to actually like some of my drawings. I have alsogrown to love watercolours and basic pencil drawingswhich I hated before this module. I have put some photos of some of my work I have handed in.

I have also learnt how to use photoshop as a drawing tool and I think my work is really successful this way.
